PM of Ukraine Instructs to Return Passengers of AeroSvit to Homeland
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has instructed to take all necessary measures for the speedy return to their homeland blocked overseas passengers of AeroSvit airlines. He started this during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine drawing attention to the resonant situation that has happened around one of the largest domestic carriers – AeroSvit Company.
"We cannot afford that problems of the private company harmed the interests of thousands of our citizens and foreigners, - Mykola Azarov said. - The fact that passengers of AeroSvit became hostages of this unhealthy situation is completely unacceptable. We must intervene in this".
The Prime Minister stressed that the carrier has to act within the law and international regulations and authorities are required to monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
Prime Minister instructed vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul quickly and efficiently to deal with the situation, analyze the rights of a case and immediately prepare proposals for action.
"Certainly, first of all passengers, blocked abroad, as soon as possible have to be return to their homeland and they have to receive compensations for delays and flight cancellations", Mykola Azarov said.
