L Skibarka Appointed Office Managing Partner of SORAINEN Lithuania
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013. Partner Laimonas Skibarka, current head of the SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity Team in Lithuania, is also new office managing partner of SORAINEN Lithuania. The appointment is part of a rotation of leadership positions within SORAINEN which aims to support continuous development of the firm, reported the press-centre of SORAINEN.

He has successfully developed the M&A and Private Equity Team under his responsibility both in Lithuania and regionally. He has also significantly contributed to the development of SORAINEN while heading the regional Business Development & Marketing Team. In the opinion of all partners Laimonas deserves a new challenge.” says Kestutis Adamonis, who has been SORAINEN Lithuania Office Managing Partner for over ten years.
Laimonas Skibarka started legal practice 16 years ago and joined the SORAINEN partnership in 2006. Since then he has headed the M&A and Private Equity Team in Lithuania, also serving as regional head of the team for several years. According to Mergermarket statistics, Laimonas tops the league table of individual lawyers by total number of major M&A transactions advised in the Baltics (credited with 20 transactions with a total disclosed value of EUR 2.6 billion). He has also advised on major foreign investment projects, including representation of Barclays, Western Union and Hitachi. Laimonas is chairman of the Commercial Law and Practice Commission at the Lithuanian Business Confederation (ICC Lithuania) and a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania.
Kestutis Adamonis, the previous SORAINEN Lithuania office managing partner, continues heading the Real Estate & Construction practice and remains involved in the SORAINEN regional Management Group. Recently new office managing partners were also rotated in other offices. During 2012 Toomas Prangli was appointed as office managing partner of SORAINEN Estonia and Kiryl Apanasevich as office managing partner of SORAINEN Belarus.
