OREANDA-NEWS. January 10, 2013. Sukhoi delivered 6 Su-35S production multi-functional fighter aircraft to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. The official delivery act was signed at the Sukhoi’s Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft production association (KnAAPO). Thus the Sukhoi Company has completely fulfilled the 2012 State Defense Order for that aircraft. The fighters will fly to the airbase of location in the nearest future.

The Su-35 is a thoroughly upgraded super-maneuverable fighter of the 4++ generation. It employs technologies of the 5th generation that assure its superiority over similar class fighters. The special features of the aircraft include a new avionics suite based on digital information control system integrating onboard systems, new phased antenna array radar with a long aerial target detection range and with an increased number of simultaneously tracked and engaged targets and new enhanced vectored thrust engines.
