OREANDA-NEWS. January 10, 2013. Earlier, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technologies imposed preliminary special obligations on influential providers on the market of call termination in individual networks of mobile and fixed communications.

The matter concerns three mobile communication providers - Orange Moldova, Moldcell, Moldtelecom – and 15 fixed telephony ones. The first phase of reducing wholesale tariffs took place within 2011-2012, being fallen into 4 stages 6 months each. The second phase will be held within 2013-2014 in 4 stages 6 months each too, ANRCETI informs.

In this period the above-mentioned providers have to continue gradually reducing the call termination tariffs for them to meet Long-Run Incremental Cost by July, 1, 2014. Thus, since January, 1, 2013, the maximal tariff for call termination has been brought down by 14.4% in mobile networks of Orange Moldova and Moldcell and by 33.2% immobile network of Moldtelecom, making 3.08 cents per minute.

The tariff will make 1.53 cents per minute starting from July, 1, 2014.
