Daily Shopping E-commerce Site Sukamart.com Launches in Indonesia
OREANDA-NEWS. January 9, 2013. PT Sumisho E-Commerce Indonesia, a joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation and PT Sumitomo Indonesia, announced today the opening of Sukamart, an e-commerce website for the Indonesia market offering over 1,000 everyday household products. Taking its name from the Indonesian word suka, meaning "like," Sukamart aims to endear itself with customers by providing a high-quality, reliable service at reasonable prices and become a leading e-commerce provider in Indonesia.

Sukamart will initially offer a wide assortment of products from all over the world including Indonesia and Japan which fall into six main categories: food, beverages, personal care, health care, baby care, and home & kitchen. Customers will be able to conveniently order products through the website in as few as two steps, and make payments for their orders through bank transfer. To ensure reliable and consistent delivery times, Sukamart will process all orders at its proprietary warehouse located in central Jakarta. For most customers located in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), orders will typically be processed, shipped, and delivered within 1-2 working days. Furthermore, while there will be an initial focus on customers in Greater Jakarta, Sukamart will also support orders from across the entire country.
By providing easy online ordering and delivery, Sukamart will answer a growing need among parents and working professionals to fit time-consuming grocery shopping into their busy schedules, a problem frequently compounded by traffic congestion and flooding in big cities like Jakarta.
