Wizz Air to Rescue Stranded Aerosvit Passengers in Warsaw
OREANDA-NEWS. January 08, 2013. Wizz Air Ukraine, Ukraine’s low-cost – low fare airline, launched today a rescue fare of UAH 349 (+ booking fee) for passengers affected by flight cancellation on Aerosvit’s Warsaw – Kiev route. Passengers in possession of a cancelled Aerosvit flight reservation between Warsaw and Kiev today can book via the Wizz Air call centre to fly on Wizz Air’s Katowice-Kiev route and must bring their original reservation when they travel. Wizz Air launched this unique rescue fare of UAH 349 (+ booking fee) to minimize disruption to Aerosvit passengers affected by today’s flight cancellation and due to the Ukrainian Christmas period Wizz Air will honour this rescue fare to any Aerosvit passengers should other flights between Warsaw and Kiev be disrupted during the holiday season. The rescue fare is subject to seat availability and passengers are advised to book quickly, reported the press-centre of Wizz Air.
“Wizz Air understands the difficulties of affected passengers to find alternative travel arrangements during the Ukrainian holiday season after Aerosvit’s flight cancellation today between Warsaw and Kiev. We are now offering this rescue fare of UAH 349 (plus the booking fee) on Wizz Air’s route between Katowice and Kiev and hope that this minimizes the disruption suffered by these passengers. Bookings can be made via our call centre until the 12th of January and the original Aerosvit reservation must be brought to the airport when flying on Wizz Air’s unique rescue fare. We hope to bring as many passengers home to their families as needed.” said Akos Bus, Director General of Wizz Air Ukraine.
