OREANDA-NEWS. January 07, 2013. At the end of 2012 the volume of domestic IT market will be more than 700 billion rubles that is more than 7% up from 650 billion rubles a year before - stated Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister at a meeting of the Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development of Russia.

According to Medvedev, IT sector has been and will remain a priority for the state. The country has innovative development program of infrastructure companies with state participation. Total funds provided by them to the appropriate target will be up to 2015 more than 300 billion rubles.

In Russia, according to Medvedev, the IT industry employs only 0.6% of the population of Russia, while in developed countries the figure is usually 4-5%.
