OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2013. The duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars produced by TISCO have been successfully certified by CARES, UK. TISCO has become the first qualified producer to produce duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars in China.

CARES is an independent, non-profit certification authority in UK and provides clients with the assurance that the construction steel producer has met the relevant regulations about testing and inspection of the products used in the reinforced concrete industry. The certified products are grade 200 and 500 duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars 1.4362 to BS EN 6744. After certificated by CARES, TISCO’s duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars have been qualified to access the European market. It is of great importance for further production standardization, quality and management improvement of the stainless steel reinforcing bars in TISCO.

After the independent R&D of the duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars in the past two years, TISCO solved a series of difficult technical problems on yield strength, surface quality and dimensional accuracy, chemical analysis and so on. The duplex stainless steel reinforcing bars have the advantages of corrosion resistance, cost effective and long service life. They are widely used in the construction of bridges with good market potential.
