OREANDA-NEWS. January 3, 2013. Accompanied by Governor Ould Kablia of Oran Province, Mr. Mohamed Tahmi, Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports, paid an inspection tour to the jobsite of Oran Stadium. This Stadium is contracted by the Algerian Branch of the 22nd China Metallurgical Construction Group (22MCC Group), with an audience capacity of 40,000 persons.

Minister Mohamed Tahmi was debriefed by the representative of the Employer on the project information and the current implementation progress, and then inquired about some issues on the project quality. Escorted by General Manager Guo Yong of the Algerian Branch of 22MCC Group, Minister Mohamed Tahmi inspected the physical works such as the high bleachers and the steel structures.

Upon request by the local media agencies, Minister Mohamed Tahmi and Governor Ould Kablia of Oran Province made a brief remark on the long-term planning of the stadium, and answered questions interested by the media. The Minister mentioned that, in order to give a further promotion on the development of the sports undertakings, more sports venues and supportive facilities would be planned for the 2nd phase of Oran Stadium. In answer to the reporters’ questions, Minister Mohamed Tahmi placed a high premium on the execution progress of the Stadium.
