OREANDA-NEWS. January 3, 2013. Technical specialists of branch of JSC “MOESK” Northern Electric Grids (NEG) are completing the works within the framework of the practical implementation’s first stage of the model pattern for the installation of tank type SF6 circuit breakers; it was stared in August of 2012. During this time 22 SF6 circuit breakers have been already installed and put into operation at 9 substations, located in responsibility area of NEG. Till the end of 2012 the new equipment will be installed also at substations “Peremilovo”, “Ramen’ye”, “Smolino”, “Chirkovo”.

So, 32 tank type SF6 circuit breakers will be installed, as was planned, on the first stage of the practical implementation of the model pattern of the new equipment’s point substitution at the substations, located in the responsibility area of the Northern Electric Grids.

It takes no more than seven days from the obsolete equipment dismantlement to the new equipment putting into operation. The application of the technical solution algorithm, elaborated by the NEG specialists, makes it possible for the repair teams to reduce maximally the time for works. It provides a point substitution of the obsolete switching equipment by the modern SF6 circuit breakers without an additional renovation of expensive relay protections, which, in its turn, cheapens significantly a process of the technological reliability increase of the entire feeding center and guarantees a continuous power supply of consumers.

On the second stage of the practical implementation of the model pattern of the point substitution of the high-voltage equipment, which will start in branch of JSC “MOESK” Northern Electric Grids in 2013, a point substitution of the obsolete switching equipment will be made at 6 substations more, by 21 modern SF6 circuit breakers.

On these days the technical specialists of the Northern Electric Grids, are also completing a technical program formation as to the substitution of 6-10 kV obsolete and physically worn out isolating and section switches, within the framework of subsequent stages passing of the electric grid sector renovation.

A tight schedule of the technical program fulfillment has been composed and approved, in the course of its implementation they plan to substitute 100 circuit breakers at 22 substations, located in the responsibility area of NEG.
