Dmitry Lyugai Put in Charge of Prospective Development Department
OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2012. Dmitry Lyugai is put in charge of the Prospective Development Department of Gazprom.
Dmitry Lyugai was born in 1962 in the Uzbek SSR. In 1984 he graduated with honors from Tashkent State Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Technology and Integrated Mechanization of Oil and Gas Fields. Dmitry Lyugai is a Doctor of Engineering (1999).
His entire labor and scientific activities are tied to the gas industry.
Between 1984 and 1986 – downhole maintenance operator, geologist at Shurtangaz Gas Production Directorate, Soyuzuzbekgazprom.
Between 1986 and 1988 – engineer, junior research associate at SredazNIIgaz institute.
Between 1988 and 1991 – departmental postgraduate study at Gazprom VNIIGAZ.
Between 1991 and 2001 – research associate, senior research associate, lead research associate, chief research associate at SredazNIIprogaz institute.
In 2002 – Head of the Oil and Gas Division of the Applied Science and Training Center for Energy and Resource Saving under Tashkent State Technical University.
Between 2002 and 2012 he was employed at Gazprom VNIIGAZ. Dmitry Lyugai went up the career ladder from a chief research associate to a Deputy Director General for Science. He headed the Laboratory for Urengoyskoye Field Design and Analysis and the Design Methodology Division of Natural Gas Field Development and Well Drilling Center.
In the capacity of Director General for Science he supervised geological operations, studies of oil and gas reservoirs, gas field development, gas production and underground gas storage.
The former Department Head Vlada Rusakova was relieved of her post due to retirement.
The relevant decisions on termination or granting of authorities as a Member of the Management Committee of Gazprom will be taken by the Company's Board of Directors.
