OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2012. Sberbank's project for implementation of cash liquidity management system using OptiCash / OptiNet software (owner - NCR Corporation) became a finalist of the International Award Financial World Innovation Awards 2012 ceremony held in London.

Implementation of this system in Sberbank allowed reducing the cost of cash money circulation. Currently, the system controls ATMs and additional offices of Sberbank in Moscow, as well as other domestic ATMs serviced by collection divisions.

"In 2013-2014 the system will gradually cover the entire network of branch offices, ATMs, information and payment terminals and cash centers of Sberbank", - said Alexei Ponomarenko, the Director of the cash management of Sberbank of Russia.

Previously, ATMs cash liquidity management system of Sberbank was awarded by The Banker magazine in the Innovation in Cash & Treasury Technology category of the Innovation in Banking Technology Awards 2012.

OptiCash / OptiNet is used in some of the largest banks in Europe and the US. The system is designed to optimize the orders and delivery of cash in financial institutions that have an extensive network of branches and self-service terminals.
