OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. Azerbaijan’s national postal operator Azerpoct is to commission the system of urgent money transfers via Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information (STEFI) with Belarus in 2013.

Novruz Mammadov, head of the Postal Department of the Ministry of Communications & IT, says that the service is introduced in accordance with the recommendations of the International Postal Union.

"The system is currently being tested, and due to technical problems of the postal operator in Belarus its launch has somewhat delayed. We plan to put the system into operation in the 1st quarter of 2013," he said.
