OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. The First Training Conference took place in Almaty. The conference ‘Annual reports: leaders’ experience and new standards’ was arranged by Expert RA Kazakhstan rating agency.

The results of the regular annual reports contest for 2011 were summarised at this event. KEGOC Annual Report and KEGOC Sustainability Report for 2011 were recognised as best in two categories and gained recognition from the experts, having taken the premier places as ‘The best annual report in nonfinancial sector’ and ‘The best sustainability report’. Twenty-eight companies representing financial and nonfinancial sectors took part in the annual reports contest held by Expert RA Kazakhstan rating agency.

Commenting on this event, Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, Chairman of KEGOC Management Board said: ‘We believe that it is a result of the company’s systematic approach to information disclosure to parties concerned. The significance of operations transparency has been heightened with the forthcoming participation in Peoples’ IPO programme. In order to maintain the confidence of all the parties concerned and attract investors, KEGOC is interested in continuing the advanced practice of disclosure of comprehensive and reliable information on various aspects of its operations.’

That is the third time KEGOC has issued a Sustainability Report, and the Report for 2011 was certified for the first time by KPMG Tax and Advisory LLC independent audit company, which assures the adequacy of the obtained information.

Annual reports are a benchmark for the company and a document that enables it to collate all the basic information relating to position in the market, results of operating, financial and social activities, and prospects for the company’s development.
