OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. According to the data of the Dispatching Office of Moscow Energy System (MosDO), on Friday on the 14th of December at 18:00 the electricity consumption in Moscow energy system was 16,697 megawatt under the temperature -11 C0. It’s by 11,1% or by 1,851 megawatt more than the last year’s indicators – on the 16th of December of 2011 (Friday) at 18:00 under the temperature +02 C0 the maximal value of the consumed capacity amounted to 14,846 megawatt.

At the weekend the energy consumption decreased to some extent: on Saturday on the 15th of December the maximal value of the consumed capacity amounted to 15,838 megawatt at 18:00, under the temperature -14 C0. On Sunday on the 16th of December – 15,960 megawatt at 19:00, under the same temperature. In spite of the temperature reduction in the capital city’s region, the power supply of all the consumers of JSC “MOESK” is provided steadily.

To provide a reliable power supply of consumers of JSC “MOESK”, by order of Deputy Director General – Technical Director of MOESK Anatoly Chegodaev, all the scheduled works at the electric grid complex’s facilities are prohibited, only fulfillment of the emergency recovery works is allowed. All the employees of the Company are ordered to observe strictly “Instruction on switches production in electrical installations of high-voltage electric grids of JSC “MOESK””. The personnel are forbidden to be in the open for a long time.

Well-defined notification flow chart and calling of the emergency response and restoration teams is stipulated in the Company in case of the technological disturbances occurrence. A readiness to the function of mobile power stations (diesel generator set, mobile power station) is secured, to which, if necessary, the socially important consumers and life support facilities will be connected quickly.

Let us recall, that historical peak of energy consumption in Moscow region was fixed the last winter – on the 13th of February of 2012, under the temperature -24 ?C the energy consumption amounted to over 17,5 Giga watt.
