OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. Northern Capital Gateway LLC (the Pulkovo Airport Operator) and Chinese Consulate General in St. Petersburg held an on-line lecture devoted to Chinese culture and history as a part of Entertaining Culturology project.

Entertaining Culturology project created within the framework of Pulkovo Airport Staff Development Programme includes a set of lectures aimed at study and culture analysis of different countries with the view of professional development and provision of high quality service to passengers and guests of the Airport. Employees also have an opportunity to learn from foreign colleagues’ experience of international carriage organization.

Mr. Wu Xing Consul of China told the guests about the country’s historical milestones, unique traditions and culture as well as showed a movie about its enchanting beauty. The most attentive guests took part in a quiz and received prizes and gifts for correct answers to questions about China.

After the lecture, the audience enjoyed the Lion Dance, a martial arts master’s performance (t’ai chi ch’uan) and a demonstration of a traditional tea ceremony as well as tasted Chinese dishes.

Earlier in 2012 two lectures devoted to culture of Japan and Switzerland were held at Pulkovo Airport.
