OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. On its 20th anniversary, TBC Bank signed a USD 20 million loan agreement with the French Investment and Promotion company for Economic Cooperation, PROPARCO.

Created in 1977, PROPARCO is partly owned by the French Development Agency (AFD) and private shareholders. TBC Bank is the first bank in the Caucasus to partner with PROPARCO – an accomplishment of special importance to the Bank. The proceeds of this five year facility will be dedicated to financing small and medium enterprises (SME) working in the healthcare sector.

The agreement with PROPARCO demonstrates TBC Bank’s continued commitment to strengthening small and medium enterprises in Georgia over the 20 years of its operations. This loan facility is especially important as it targets the healthcare sector – one of the priority areas of the country’s economy.
