OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. KAMAZ welcomed guests from Germany’s Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen AG with which the company opened ZF KAMA seven years ago.

The delegation included the German company’s managers: Director of Finance Department Claudia Ehle and Director of Sales and Adaptation Werner Engel. They arrived to hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of ZF KAMA JV and negotiate with General Director of OJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin. Also, the guests met with Irek Gumerov, Deputy General Director of OJSC KAMAZ – Director of Development, German Gilfanov, General Director of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY, and other top-level managers. The participants of the meetings discussed prospects of a new project – Ecomid Push, which provides for the promotion of ZF transmissions produced at the joint venture. In addition, the partners visited the new building of the joint venture and its production area.

OOO ZF KAMA is the first production enterprise established at the facilities of KAMAZ with the participation of a foreign company for the manufacture of products under its trademark. In November 2005, a gearbox assembly line was opened under the ZF brand in Naberezhnye Chelny. It is an exact copy of ZF’s assembly line in Friedrichshafen. The best workers and experienced experts of KAMAZ’s engine plant were involved in the assembly of gearboxes at the enterprise. ZF KAMA JV achieved perfect operating and financial results. Last year, OJSC KAMAZ sold almost 15,000 transmissions produced by OOO ZF KAMA (Ecomid, Ecosplit). The turnover amounted to 64 million euro. OOO ZF KAMA plans to produce 22,000 transmissions in 2012.
