KAMAZ Invests in Education
OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012. More than 30 KAMAZ employees – first- and middle-level managers – received diplomas of International Management Institute LINK (IMI LINK) and Certificates of the British Open University.
With the support of KAMAZ, the company`s managers were educated on the international level at KAMA-LINK Business School which was opened in 2010 at the Regional Institute of Advanced Technology and Business (RIPTiB) in Naberezhnye Chelny. It represents International Management Institute LINK which, in its turn, is an official partner of the British Open University in Russia. The educational organization offers distance learning with “a teacher’s support”. There were various branches of learning for the KAMAZ managers: “Organizational Leadership and HRM”, “Marketing and Financial Management”, “Business and Change Management”.
According to Nuria Khalilova, Director of KAMA-LINK, a lot of managers study at Business School, including KAMAZ employees, small- and medium-class businessmen of Zakamsky Region. The school graduated its first students with “Professional Diploma in Management” equal to Stage II of the MBA Strategy Program of the British Open University and IMI LINK. In addition, KAMA-LINK Business School for the second time graduated students who received "Professional Certificate in Management" corresponding to Stage I of the Strategy Program.
Besides, fieldwork was done with regard to students’ activities. According to Svetlana Mikheeva, Director of Corporate University of OJSC KAMAZ, this approach guarantees positive results. That is why OJSC KAMAZ has been cooperating with IMI LINK for more than ten years. During this period, almost 500 first- and middle-level managers improved their professional skills, and KAMAZ obtained certified managers.
