OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) has new Regulations for inspections procedures.

On 11th November 2012, came into force the new Administrative Regulations of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for exercising the state function and for inspecting compliance with the antimonopoly law of the Russian Federation.

The Regulations clearly specify the procedures for inspecting compliance with the antimonopoly law, and explain the rights and responsibilities of the officers of the antimonopoly authority as well as the rights and responsibilities of the inspected companies. The Regulations also describe the procedures for devising, organizing, formalizing and adopting measures upon the results of scheduled or unscheduled inspections.

The Regulations also provide for the possibility to lodge a complaint to FAS Russia upon the results of an inspection carried out by an antimonopoly body.

“Adopting the new Regulations enabled to formalize the entire procedure, making it maximally clear and transparent for the inspecting body and an inspected entity as well as for general public”, the Head of the Legal Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Sergey Puzyrevsky, commented adopting the Regulations.
