Uniastrum Retail Risk Director Awarded CFA Charter
OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2012. Gaining a CFA charter requires the candidate to pass three examinations at different levels and satisfy the requirements of the CFA Institute in terms of education and work experience. In Oliver’s case this took 3.5 years. Before sitting his exams he was required to master the CFA curriculum.
Oliver Branwell has worked in finance for more than eight year. Born in Margate, Kent, in the United Kingdom, he holds a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick. Oliver began his career with Experian-Scorex, subsequently moving to Citibank. He has been in Russia since 2006, working first as head of business analytics at Barclays Bank, then as Risk Director with National Bank Trust. He joined Uniastrum in August 2012.
“I believe that in life a synthesis of creativity and knowledge are called for,” says Oliver. “I derive creativity from contemporary fiction and the classics of the past, whereas my education provides me with a strong scientific direction. Combining these two disciplines helps me to look at things from different angles and come up with a solution, not matter how difficult the situation.”
