OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2012. Under the contract with OJSC "Managing Company "United Engine Building Corporation" OJSC "Perm Engine Company" has shipped the first GTU-12P gas turbine plant of 12 MW unit capacity to "Kubanskaya" compressor station in December. All together four GTU-12P plants are scheduled for delivery to "Kubanskaya" compressor station.

GTU-12P gas turbine plant developed by designers of  OJSC "Aviadvigatel" is intended for driving the natural gas centrifugal supercharger as part of GPA-12 "Ural" modular gas compressor unit  manufactured by LLC "Iskra-Turbogas" (designer of the unit - OJSC "RPA "Iskra", Perm).

During operation time at sites of Russia's unified gas supply system GTU-12P gas turbine plant showed excellent results. As of today Perm Engine Company has produced more than 75 GTU-12P plants for gas transport, their total operating time is getting on for 2 million hours.

- Shipment of GTU-12P plants for the new main pipeline is undoubtedly a new step in cooperation between OJSC "Perm Engine Company" and OJSC "Gazprom": subsequent to delivery to "North Stream" pipeline, now we are supplying our gas turbine plants to the sites of the "Southern Corridor" gas pipeline system - Russian terrestrial part of the "South Stream" strategic pipeline.

As reference (according to OJSC "Gazprom"):

Erecting of bridge between "Kubanskaya" CS and  "Korenovskaya" CS constitutes the first stage of the "Southern Corridor" pipeline system construction project execution. This system allows to channel the additional quantities of natural gas to the regions of central and southern part of Russia to stimulate the development of industry and public services, to increase the gasifying rate and to provide an uninterruptible  supply of gas to the  "South Stream" main gas pipeline.

The total length of the "Southern Corridor" gas transport system path amounts to 2506.2 km. As part of project implementation the erection of 10 compressor stations (CS) with total capacity of 1516 MW is  expected. Flow capacity of the "Southern Corridor" pipeline system constitutes 63 bln. m3 of gas per year. Duration of the project - from 2010 till 2017.

Project is implemented on the territory of 8 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Penza Region, the Saratov Region, the Volgograd Region, the Voronezh Region, the Rostov Region, the Republic of Mordovia, the Krasnodar Teriitory.
