OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2012. The exercise of options on the BOVESPA Index (Ibovespa) generated BRL 7.06 billion yesterday, with 115,090 contracts traded. Of the volume exercised, BRL 4.17 billion was in put options and BRL 2.89 billion in call options.

The Ibovespa index ended the session 0.25% lower at 59,474.18 points.

The contracts with the largest volumes were:

Series at 58,000 points at BRL 1.27 billion in call options;

Series at 64,000 points at BRL 1.02 billion in put options;

Series at 60,000 points at BRL 894 million in put options;

Series at 66,000 points at BRL 825 million in put options;

Series at 59,000 points at BRL 658.44 million in call options.
