OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2012. Airline S7 Airlines starts operating a regular flight from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Verona (Italy).

The flight is convenient not only for citizens of Moscow but other cities as well: the special tariffs for transfer flights and the wide destinations network of S7 Airlines make flights to Verona more comfortable and economic for all citizens of the Russian Federation.

On December, 12 the presentation of the new regular flight Moscow – Verona took place in the ITAR-TASS pressroom in Moscow. Mr. Vladimir Obyedkov, General Director of S7 Airlines, Mr. Paolo Arena, President of Verona airport, Mr. Daniel Burkard, External and International Relations Director of Moscow Domodedovo Airport presented.

As Mr. Burkard noticed: "Opening of the new regular flight to Verona is the important event in the development of flight connection between Russia and Italy. Now Domodedovo offers air travelers even more variants for planning trips in this direction".

Verona airport has a highly convenient location – Milan, Bologna, Venice and other significant cities of Italy are located in less than 150 km from this airport.

The business communications also contribute to the popularity of this direction – in 2011 export from Verona to Russia increased by 14,6%.

The flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Verona are very popular among tourists – in 2012 the passenger flow increased by 13% in this direction. The high demand is caused primarily by the sights of Italy. The concentration of architectural and cultural monuments is one of highest in the world: 47 sights are on the list of the objects of UNESCO World Heritage. Italy is attractive with its nature and landscapes - tourists can visit snow-white flanks and alpestrine lakes or have rest on the Adriatic and Mediterranean beaches.

From December 26, 2012 three times a week (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) a modern Boeing 737-800 departs from Moscow at 10:55, arriving to Verona at 11:35. The flyback departs at 12:25 and arrives to Domodedovo at 18:55. The flight time is a little more than 3 hours. The economy and business class flights are available for the passengers; the airliner’s capacity is 160 seatings.
