OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2012. Within the framework of “Customs Service - 2012” Exhibition, the meeting of Mr. Andrey Belyaninov, Head of the Russian FCS, and Mr. Talis Kravalis, Director of the Customs Administration of the State Revenue Service of the Latvian Republic, took place.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the opportunities of further customs collaboration of Russia and Latvia, exchanged their opinions about the implementation progress of the agreements that were reached at the meeting of the Heads in Moscow on May 15, 2012, and pointed out that practically all the agreements were fulfilled.

The parties agreed to hold some collaborative meetings in the Russian-Latvian State Border check points for regional Russian and Latvian Customs and Border Authorities with the view to work out a set of measures to prevent the congestion of cargo and passenger vehicles during Christmas and New Year Holidays.
