OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2012. Steel output of Zhlobin-based Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) amounted to 2.277 million tonnes in January-October 2012, up 3.5% on the year, an official with the plant told.

Rolled stock output reduced 2.1% to 1.893 million tonnes, and pipe output rose 10.6% to 105,281 tonnes.

Metal cord output went down 6.2% to 76,195 tonnes. Bead wire output decreased 9.8% to 25,942 tonnes.

Bead wire output amounted to 213,322 tonnes, up 3.1% year-on-year.

Commodity output grew 2.1% on the year in January-October to Br13.223 trillion (USD 1.543 billion).

Sales proceeds grew 80% in Jan-Oct to Br13.209 trillion (USD 1.541 billion).

State company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output. Non-CIS countries account for more than 70% of the BMZ’s exports.
