OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2012. Since December 2012 the Emirates regular flight St. Petersburg-Dubai is performed by Boeing 777-300 - the world’s largest twin-engine passenger aircraft with a three-class configuration and a capacity of 365 passengers.

“In the first half of 2012 more than 68,000 passengers flew with Emirates from St. Petersburg. I believe the introduction of Boeing 777-300 - a highly comfortable and capacious aircraft designed for long-haul flights – on this route will increase the passenger flow as well as extend further tourist, business and international relations between Russia and the UAE”, - said Yaroslav Zubilov Head of GR and PR, Northern Capital Gateway LLC.

“We see a great potential for St. Petersburg market development, and the introduction of flights to the Northern Capital performed by Boeing 777-300 is the evidence of it. Emirates offers one of the most advantageous connections with the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Indian Ocean Region, so a new high-quality product will make it possible for business travelers and tourists to travel with maximum comfort inside the Emirates network”, - said Egor Plakhov Head of Emirates Airline in Russia and CIS-countries.

Passengers can enjoy the following Boeing 777-300 cabin features: flat-bed seats in First Class and Business Class, the award-winning ‘ICE’ in-flight entertainment system with more than 1,000 channels and chef’s specialties. The additional customers’ benefit is the increased baggage allowance: 30 kg in Economy Class, 40 kg in Business Class and 50 kg in First Class.

Nowadays, Emirates performs daily flight from Pulkovo Airport which was introduced on November 1, 2011.
