OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2012. Anhui province met the full-year targets for "861 Plan" projects ahead of time.

As of November 30, up to 587.7 billion yuan (USD  93.3 billion) had been poured into those projects, representing a 23.8 percent over-the-target performance. Construction had started on 1,641 new projects, while 463 ones had been completed, accounting for 121 percent and 124.8 percent of the annual targets, respectively.

The "861 Plan" is an economic development plan on eight industries and six projects Anhui province focuses on over a certain period of time.

 Eight leading industries attracted a total investment of 429 billion yuan between January and November, making up 124.3 percent of the planned spending.

Out of them, up to 64.8 billion yuan was spent on information technology, 75.4 billion yuan on the automobile and equipment manufacturing sector, and 80.9 billion yuan on materials and new materials.

Meanwhile, the cultural industry was further expanded, seeing a capital injection of 27.3 billion yuan, and the modern service sector, which plays a crucial role in the transformational development of the province, drew an investment of 77.3 billion yuan.

Under this year's "861 Plan", priority is given to such industries as information technology, automobiles and equipment manufacturing, materials and new materials, food and drugs, textiles and apparel, energy and new energy, the cultural industry and modern service.

In addition, up to 157.8 billion yuan was injected into six projects including water conservancy, transportation and environmental protection during the Jan-Nov period, which further improved the development environment of the province. Projects to improve people's well-being, in particular, attracted a capital of 62 billion yuan, or 142.4 percent of the spending target.
