OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. Sojitz Corporation opened an office in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, on December 15, 2012.

As Myanmar undergoes rapid democratization, numerous foreign companies are establishing operations there and it is expected that many opportunities will develop including infrastructure and resource development.

Sojitz has conducted business in Myanmar since it opened an office in Yangon in 1918, and with the establishment of a new office in Nay Pyi Taw, which has a concentration of government agencies, the company will be able to conduct business more dynamically and develop business opportunities through collaboration between the two offices.
