OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. From the moment the ATOMEX project was implemented in April 2009, the major North-West construction holding TITAN-2 traditionally takes part in all the forums of nuclear industry suppliers. At the coming International Conference ATOMEX-2012 was held in Moscow on December 12-14, the company delivered the report: "Improvement of Interaction between Construction and Installation Organizations While Constructing Power Units of Nuclear Power Stations."

Ambitious goals the Russian nuclear industry is to achieve require improvement of efficiency in the work of all NPP construction participants. So the main purpose of the forum is to attract new suppliers into the nuclear industry, quality improvement for the equipment and services procured, improvement of efficiency when investment resources are used to construct and operate the nuclear industry sites, expansion of the dialogues among the sectoral enterprises with existing and potential business partners. Being one of four main contractors for construction of Leningrad NPP-2 considered not only the most technically sound NPP of WWER type but the first one in Russia, and which is built in accordance with the NPP-2006 project, the Holding pays a lot of attention to the problem of efficient cooperation with all the organizations involved into construction of the nuclear power facility.

The report touched upon the review of the problems faced by the participants of Leningrad NPP-2 construction at different stages of this construction. The report focused on the issues of interaction between construction and installation organizations. Besides, the suggestions was introduced which are related to the further on optimization of the construction process with regard to the prospects for the project application during the nearest 20 years.

Also an ATOMEX- 2012 exhibition of nuclear industry equipment and service suppliers was held within the frameworks of the forum. On behalf of the customers the top managers and profile specialists of Rosatom State Corporation took part in it, as well as the heads of the key industry companies and representatives of working NPPs.
