OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. The U.S. Senate voted to extend Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) to Russia and Moldova.

The bill passed with strong bipartisan support on a 92-4 vote (The House previously passed the bill with wide support, on a 365-43 vote). President Obama, who supports PNTR for Russia, is likely to sign the bill into law soon, allowing U.S. businesses to take advantage of Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization. Russia’s WTO accession, and this legislation, is 18 years in the making. PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies is very glad to see this finally happen.
