OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. Within the framework of “Customs Service - 2012” Exhibition, the meeting of Mr. Andrey Belyaninov, Head of the Russian FCS, and Mr. Marek Helm, Director General of Tax and Customs Department of the Estonian Republic, took place.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged their opinions about the implementation progress of the agreements that were reached at the meeting of Mr. Ruslan Davydov, Deputy Head of the Russian FCS, and Mr. Marek Helm, Director General of Tax and Customs Department of the Estonian Republic, in Tallinn on June 08, 2012, and pointed out that practically all the agreements were fulfilled.

The parties mentioned the efficiency of the pilot project launched to speed up the border-crossing process in Kunichina Gora-Koidula checkpoints. The main goals of this project are the decrease of expenses and time for goods transportation by Foreign Economic Activity participants.

Besides, the parties agreed to deepen action coordination, aimed to prevent the formation of waiting lines in the checkpoints, in the context of growth of the number of passenger and cargo vehicles.
