OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Gorodeya Sugar Refinery (based in Minsk Region) has received a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) certificate to confirm the registration of Gorodeya Sugar trademark, a company representative told.

According to the source, WIPO certificate for Gorodeya Sugar TM is valid in Armenia, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine from July 9, 2012 till July 9, 2020.

Belarusian intellectual property authorities registered Gorodeya Sugar trademark on May 16, 2012.

Gorodeya Sugar Refinery was founded in 1959. In January-October 2012 the company produced 155,483 tonnes of sugar (26% down on the year. Sugar exports rose 18.4% up to 119,267 tonnes.
