OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. Vladimir Putin and President of Brazil Dilma Vana Rousseff Linhares discussed diversifying trade, deepening strategic partnership, and prospects for developing cooperation in the science and technical as well as cultural and humanitarian areas.

Following the talks, the two Presidents signed a Joint Statement and Further Steps for Fulfilling the Strategic Partnership Plan of Action between Russia and Brazil. Besides, the two leaders oversaw the signing of a package of bilateral documents on economic, sports and military cooperation, as well as a plan for holding political consultations and a contract outlining the basic terms and conditions for supplying Ka-62 helicopters.
