OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2012. By the resolution of the organizing committee of the International forum “International experience and Russia’s economy” the contribution of NPO Saturn to environmental activity has been recognized by the Honorary diploma “The leader of the environmental activity in Russia – 2012” and by the order “The ecological shield of Russia”. Mr. Vladimir Kochin, deputy head of the NPO Saturn workshop №4 was awarded an Honorary medal “For environmental safety” for his input in the improvement of the company’s environmental safety and the environment-oriented upgrade of the production facilities.

The awards ceremony took place on 21 November 2012 in the Colonnaded Hall of the Moscow-based “House of the unions” during the II convention of the Russian environmentalists. The convention was organized by the International forum “International experience and Russia’s economy”, the non-profit organization “International center for facilitation of the development of oil sludge-processing companies”, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and by the research and production association “The Russian Ecological Union”.

Realizing its responsibility before the community for maintaining a benign environmental climate and rational utilization of resources, NPO Saturn is working towards increasing the level of environmental safety of its industrial sites, optimizing the use of natural resources and preventing the risk of polluting the environment. Throughout 2012 the NPO Saturn team has conducted certification of its environmental management system in accordance with the ISO 14001 requirements.
