OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2012. EVRAZ plc (LSE:EVR) ("EVRAZ") announces organizational changes to the Company’s management structure. In order to separate functions and intensify the management of key product groups, the Company will divide the Mining Division into two Divisions: the Iron Ore Division and the Coal Division.

 Vice President of Major Projects Marat Atnashev has been appointed Head of the Iron Ore Division, and within that role will combine running both the Major Projects unit and the Iron Ore Division. This new Division will include EVRAZ’s iron ore asserts located in Russia (EVRAZ KGOK, EVRAZ VGOK, and Evrazruda). Mr. Atnashev will be in charge of general planning and strategic management of the Division’s activities, whilst the management of major coal exploration projects will be delegated to the Coal Division.

 Marat Atnashev joined EVRAZ as Vice President of Major Projects in September 2011. Under his supervision a new unit of large investment projects was established at EVRAZ, and the corporate standards for their implementation were developed.

 Mr. Atnashev joined EVRAZ from JSC Gazprom Neft, where he was the Director of Major Projects. Prior to that he spent 10 years at TNK Group (TNK BP since 2003), where he held a number of positions including Director and Vice President of Major Projects and Engineering at TNK BP; Executive Director of the Performance Unit Kamennoe; Deputy Director General, Finance at JSC "Udmurtneft"; and Head of Logistics Support Division at JSC TNK.

 Sergey Stepanov has been appointed Head of the Coal Division. As Vice President, Head of the Coal Division, he will be responsible for the general planning and successful management of the Division’s activities as well as development, implementation, and control of the development of the assets within the Coal Division.

 Before joining EVRAZ Sergey Stepanov worked as COO of Nordgold (previously part of “Severstal”, before Nordgold separated into an independent company), where he was responsible for the operating activities of gold mining enterprises in Russia, Kazakhstan, Guinea and Burkina Faso. Prior to holding his position at Nordgold, Mr. Stepanov worked as COO of “Vorkutaugol”, and held senior positions in “Severstal-resource” and SUAL-holding. He graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a Master’s diploma with honors in Finance, and a Bachelor’s diploma with honors in Economics.
