OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2012.  The State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM has become the winner of the International Contest “The Best Innovator” in the category “Large Business”, the nomination “Products and Services.”

Specialists analyzed effectiveness of more than 30 companies who achieved success in managing innovations in different industries. The independent experts evaluated not only quality of products but also creativity and effectiveness of the organizational structure.

One of adjudicators, well-known financier Pavel Teplukhin, when handing over the award to ROSATOM, highlighted its achievements, as well as the corporation’s scale and significance in the world arena.


Receiving the award, Vyacheslav Pershukov, the Deputy Director General and Director of Innovations Management Bloc of ROSATOM, expressed the opinion that “ROSATOM today is really becoming a global technology company, enters the world market, so this honorary international award is a significant event for us.”

The winners’ award-giving ceremony of the Russian Award of the international contest of companies achieved the greatest success in managing innovations “Innovator 2012/2013” (The Best Innovator) was held in the Peter’s en Route Imperial Palace in Moscow. The contest was organized by the international consulting company A.T. Kearney; it partners were Forbes magazine, the Russian School of Economy, JSC RVK, as well as Skolkovo Science and Technology Institute. This year the contest was held in Russia for the first time.

Besides ROSATOM that evening awardees’ list included 4 more companies: RIA Novosti Information Agency (category “Medium Business, nomination “Organizational Pattern and Corporate Culture”), Sberbank of Russia (category “Large Business”, nomination “Organizational Pattern and Corporate Culture”), Speech Technology Center (category “Medium Business”, nomination “Products and Services”) and Zeptolab (category “Small Business”, nomination “Products and Services”).

Since establishment in 2003, The Best Innovator contest participants have been more than 1,500 European companies and its winners in different years were the giants such as 3M, Audi, BASF, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, Intel, Total.
