PM of Ukraine Promises Budget Support to Priority Innovation Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2012. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov promises budget support to priority innovation projects. He said this on Thursday, speaking in Parliament.
"Budgetary resources development will focus on supporting priority innovation projects to promote domestic production and increasing exports of innovative products and services", Mykola Azarov said.
He added that the share of imported raw materials and components used in domestic production is more than 60% of total imports. Therefore, one of the main tasks for the Government is the development and effective use of incentives to rebuild our production and, in particular, reducing the use of imported components.
The Government will pay special attention to the revival of domestic agricultural machine building industry. The Prime Minister reminded that incentives for technological renovation of enterprises with agricultural production already approved in the legislation. "A target is of at least 5 years to produce agricultural machinery and equipment for agriculture, including those that are not produced in Ukraine in order to increase the share of the domestic segment to 60%", Mykola Azarov said.
According to him, no less significant is the upgrade of the national technology park of SE Ukrzaliznytsia, as well as freight and passenger transport. Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine has every opportunity to double by 2015 year exports of software industry.
