OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2012. The Ust-Ilimsk Mill completed implementation of an investment project aimed to upgrade the first bark boiler in the mill's PPP boiler turbine shop and ensure stable operation of the equipment. RUB 40 million was allocated for these purposes.

As part of this project, new equipment was installed and existing equipment was repaired. Among new equipment purchased for the Ust-Ilimsk Mill is a horizontal air heater which will help to improve the quality of cleaning of boiler heating surfaces.

The upgrade of the boiler will allow to increase steam production and capacity of the turbines. Improved design of the boiler will also ensure a thorough removal of stones, sand, and dirt from bark waste and thus reduce equipment downtime related to cleaning.
