OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2012. “Siberian Generating Company” (SGC) expects high loads on its plans during the winter having set in. A forecast to the effect was given by SGC General Director Sergey Mironosetsky when interviewed by the Nash Krasnoyarsky Krai Newspaper.

“I can say for sure that we will be having a hard time this winter, mainly to a low level of water in the Angara and Yenisei cascade rivers. As a result, the HPP capacities, traditionally accounting for a greater part of energy production in Siberia, need to be replaced by thermal plants, primarily – SGC’s CHPs and GRESs,” says the Company CEO.

According to him, the SGC enterprises are prepared for increased loads. All the scheduled capital and medium repairs of equipment have been performed at the plants, with the planned stock of fuel and material and technical resources accumulated. “We always pay close attention to preparation to operation through the heating season, provision for reliable energy supply being the core objective for power industry specialists,” emphasized S. Mironosetsky.

“Siberian Generating Company” (SGC) Group including JSC “Kuzbassenergo” (TGC-12) and JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” is engaged in production and sales of electric and thermal energy, additionally providing for heat supply. The Group of Companies carries out its activities within the Kemerovo Region, the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories and the Republic of Khakassia. In the total generation volume of the Integrated Power System of Siberia SGC accounts for a portion amounting to approximately 20%. The main fuel is coal. The main end market is the Wholesale Electric Power Market. Currently, the Company is implementing a large-scale investment programme for construction of new facilities within the framework of power supply contracts, the programme cost exceeding 86.7 bln RUR.
