OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2012. Belarus plans to allow investors become full-fledged owners of land plots in 2013.

Belarus’ Economy Minister Nikolai Snopkov made a statement to that effect on Thursday at the 7th session of the Advisory Board for foreign investments under the Cabinet of Ministers.

In a bid to stimulate the arrival of direct foreign investments, the Government of Belarus may choose to allow investors to become land title holders, Snopkov said.

The government also plans to reduce the number of licensed business activities from 34 to 10-15 and introduce updated property valuation procedures.
