OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2012. Gazprom Neft has completed a transaction for the sale of its 100% subsidiary LLC Neftegazovaya Kompaniya Razvitie Regionov that holds the license for exploration, development and production of petroleum resources in Yuzhno-Toraveysky lease, valid through 2031. The asset is acquired by LLC Polar Oil Products; the transaction has been approved by the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Yuzhno-Toraveyskoe is a small “green” field which is currently under exploration.

The decision to sell the asset was made because Yuzhno-Toraveyskoe is Gazprom Neft’s only oil field located in Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Now the company intends to get focused on its new projects in the regions which are strategically important for Gazprom Neft: Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Orenburg Oblast, Tomsk Oblast, and the East Siberia.
