OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2012. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this on air of the "Shutser live" program at the First National TV channel. "We continue to negotiate and will convince the International Monetary Fund to continue cooperation", Mykola Azarov said.

He noted that the contentious issue in further cooperation with the IMF is to increase gas prices for the population. In this regard, the Prime Minister gave the example of France, where an increase of 2% of the cost of gas for households was discussing almost a year.

"Instead, the IMF suggests that we increase tariffs by 50%, but our people are poorer than the French, so we suggest to find other ways to reduce the budget deficit and to provide the stability of the national currency" - the Prime Minister said.

Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine will continue negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, noting that even without the IMF loan Ukraine will continue to develop its economy.
