OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2012. Sberbank CIB1 captured awards in two categories at the “Сbonds Аwards – 2012.” The company took first place in the category “Best Initial Corporate Bond Placement Deal” for its involvement in JSC NOVATEK’s issue of series BO-2, BO-3, and BO-4 bonds worth RUB 20 bln, and second place in the category “Best Investment Bank for Work with Top-tier Borrowers.”

“The awards which we’ve received today at the Cbonds Awards are a true testament to the quality of our services,” said Pavel Sokolov, Co-Head of Corporate Finance, and Managing Director of Sberbank CIB. “Both awards, including for JSC NOVATEK’s bond issue can be attributed to the well-coordinated work of the Sberbank CIB team, which formed this year as a result of the merger of Sberbank of Russia and Troika Dialog. It’s an honor for us that the success of the integration of our companies has been noticed not only by clients but by the professional community as well.”

Sberbank CIB, which was created in 2012, received this award for the first time. Troika Dialog, however, had been recognized numerous times at the Cbonds Awards. In 2010, the company took first place in the category “Best Macroeconomic Research” and second in “Best Bond Market Sales” and “Best DCM Team in the Russian Market.” Troika Dialog also earned recognition in the “Best Bond Market Sales” category in 2007 and 2009.

Sberbank CIB occupies the leading position in terms of placement volume among organizers of ruble bond placements (not counting its own issues)2, with 71 public debt deals worth a combined RUB 179 bln, counting allocation.

Sberbank CIB representatives received the awards at the 10th Russian Bond Congress, which was organized by Cbonds-Congress.
