OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2012. POSCO plans to select competent talents by posting recruitment notices for required human resources and requirements 1 year in advance of the actual hiring, reported the press-centre of POSCO.  

The newly established POSCO`s HR recruitment system is designed to help applicants well prepare to land a job in POSCO by giving out a notice on requirements 1 year before the recruitment. Applicants who made good preparation according to the public notice will be given preferential treatment when hired. The recruitment process will strengthen evaluation on applicants` view of history and country on the basis of their work performance capacity and personality, in an effort to select the most desirable human resources for POSCO.

Particularly, the company decided to grant extra points for those who hold certificates in Korean history and intensify the relevant evaluation in job interviews, under the belief that talented human resources have correct viewpoints on history and country. Moreover, the CEO will participate in the recruitment process to assess suitability of applicants as POSCO People. Recently, global companies including Google have shown an increasing tendency to strengthen the roles of CEOs in recruitment as CEOs participate in their final interview processes.
