SAIL Production Rose 8% in November
OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2012. Steel production from plants of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) marked a growth of 8% during November 2012 as compared to corresponding period last year (CPLY) with saleable steel production at 9.72 lakh tonnes.
During the period of April-November 2012, SAIL plants produced 8.2 million tonnes of saleable steel, a growth of 2.3% over the previous year. Major techno-economic parameters during April-November 2012 period fared better, with 2% improvement in coke rate & energy consumption and 3% improvement in BF productivity as compared to CPLY.
