OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2012. Within 11 months of 2012 as compared with the same period of 2011, passenger traffic of Chisinau’s International Airport grew 15.93% to 1 mln. 122.26 thou. People. During the same period of 2011 968 thou. 077 passengers were served in the airport, the administration reports.

The most asked-for destinations in January-November, 2012 were Moscow (25.85%), Istanbul (12.18%), Verona (6.48%), Munich (5.7%), Bucharest (4.45%). Rome (4.37%) and Milan (4.25%). In November, 2012 the passenger traffic made up 79 thou. 007 people in the Chisinau’s airport, 10.6% up as compared with indicators of last November.

In November, 2012 the greatest amounts of passengers fell on the following destinations: Verona (+61.78%), Bucharest(+43.5%), Paris (+37.6%), Istanbul (+37.5%), Kiev (+30.86%) and Moscow (+16%). The most asked-for destinations in November, 2012 were Moscow (30.75%), Istanbul (16.5%), Verona (7.07%), Bucharest (6.49%), Vienna (5.84%) and Munich (5.24%). The Chisinau Airpot International is the main gateway of Moldova. The Chisinau Airport International is the main air gateway of Moldova from which 15 companies are transporting passengers in 23 directions all over the world.

It partners with 14 overseas companies and 4 national carriers. In 2011 the Chisinau Airport International served 1 mln. 045 thou. passengers, 11.6% up as compared with the same period of 2010. That was a highest traffic ever recorded in the Chisinau Airport International.
