PM of Ukraine: We Managed to Raise Social Standards
OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2012. The government led by Mykola Azarov succeeded quarterly increase incomes and improve social standards despite the external crisis and actually social default in some European countries. This was stressed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Only this year the average salary increased by UAH 402 per month. Extra charge of more than UAH 150 per month 1.5 million pensioners received. Nearly 13 million retirees received an average in a month by UAH 142 more.
Assistance in the birth of the first, third child increased by 2700-3100 UAH.
About 1100 kindergartens were repaired and restored over 2.5 years, 6300 schools were repaired. More than 4000 kilometers of modern highways were built.
"For the first time since independence Ukraine's population began to grow. While we have small increase, Mykola Azarov said. - This trend should be supported by all the possibilities that we have. This is a task for the government and local authorities.
