OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2012. Our state relies on an understanding of the World Trade Organization on the issue of tariff concessions of Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at a session of the Government.

According to him, this applies only to certain types of goods that are only 3% of the total number in the Customs Tariff. "We want to protect the Ukrainian market better, to give a chance to domestic producers in these hard times of global crisis. And we have every right. Just for example, Norwegians protect its cheeses market", Mykola Azarov emphasized.

Prime Minister said that Ukraine is interested in the best rates for meat and by-products from beef, pork and poultry; flowers, fruits and vegetables; sausages; home appliances, agricultural machinery, cars, furniture, etc.

He assured: everything happens in accordance with applicable WTO rules through negotiations and consultations with the countries concerned and does not automatically increase the existing rates of import duty.
