OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2012. Representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in the International Conference “Strategy for Developing the Brewing Industry under Modern Conditions”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Representatives of the leading global beer producers, small and medium brewing enterprises as well as adjacent sectors discussed the issues of further development of the industry in Russian and within the Common Economic Space of the countries of the Customs Union amid tightening
legislative control of beer production and sale.

Addressing the Conference, the Head of the FAS Department for Control over the Authorities, Vladimir Mishelovin raised the issues of developing competitive environment, cooperation between the authorities and business at the stage of preparing regulatory acts, the methods of protecting the rights of economic entities from unlawful restrictions and prohibitions established by the authorities of the constituent territories of the Russian Federation.

“Tightening regulation of the industry creates certain problems for all participants. It would seem that all are in equal conditions. However, what means losses for large companies often means death for small businesses. Thus, one of the objectives is to maintain competition between small and medium enterprises”, pointed out Vladimir Mishelovin.
